Hajjar Gibran

My spiritual awakening began one cold winter day at age 14 when my beloved brother Gary slipped on ice while rabbit hunting. His rifle hit the ground and fired a bullet through his heart. I found him where he fell face down on the ice, dead.

I was in shock for several years. Finally one stormy night amidst thundering flashes of lightning I cried out to the heavens for help. My heart broke open, an ocean of tears washed through me, leaving me bathed in a luminous spiritual presence that transformed my agony into bliss.

A series of subsequent mystical experiences made me so hungry for enlightenment that in my final year of an engineering degree at SDSU I dropped out and went on a vision quest for 40 days and nights alone through the Gila Wilderness in the Black Mountains of New Mexico.

Later I was trained and certified by the American Board of Hypnotherapy and began to practice past life regression, soul retrieval and working with spirit guides. I began channeling the spirit of my great uncle Kahlil Gibran.

After a divorce from a 7 year marriage with 2 children, I sought healing at the Eselan Institute where I found myself surrounded by some of the worlds most influential teachers of human potential.  Dick Price the founder of Eselan was a spiritual father to me. Stanislav Grof expanded my vista into transpersonal realities. Ilana Rubenfeld ignited my kundalini.  And Gabriel Roth set my soul on fire.

I then began a 10 year involvement with Naropa Institute in Boulder, Co, where I studied dance therapy, body-centered psychotherapy, transpersonal psychology, NLP and began a life long practice of yoga and meditation.

After a 2 year teaching tour at spiritual retreat centers from Auroville, India to the Findhorn Foundation in Northern Scotland and a host of others in between, I created Orphalese Retreat center in Dream Canyon, CO. Where I hosted wilderness retreats in spiritual empowerment, past-life regression, and native american sweat lodge ceremonies. I might still be there but extreme allergies to the pollen there drove me onward.

I moved to Hawaii to study and practice Tantra Yoga and Hawaiian Shamanism - Ho’oponopono (the power of the healing dream). It was during this time that all the fragments of my understanding crystalized into a profound sense of oneness.

I then made a pilgrimage to Khalil’s tomb high in the mountains of Lebanon where a past life memory opened a clear channel to Kahlil’s spirit. An outpouring of inspired writing came through.

Over the next few years while working as a healer on a remote island in the South China Sea, I composed The Return of The Prophet. On completion, without any attempt to publish it, I had a chance encounter with a literary agent. Within one year The Return of The Prophet was published by Simon and Schuster and a dozen other foreign publishes around the world. And though I was a novice writer it won a Nautilus book award as a sequel to the literary masterpiece, The Prophet.

After those years of working on the book the engineer in me was itching to get my hands dirty. So I built the Gibran Center at Miracle Springs.

Kahlil Gibran

Khalil Gibran; was a Lebanese-American artist, poet, and writer. He released his universally acclaimed masterpiece, The Prophet, in 1923.
This incredible book has been renowned for its profound answers to life’s deepest questions. Yet Kahlil Gibran’s beloved tale left readers yearning for more after an unfulfilled promise of the Prophet’s return when he wrote; “Should my voice fade in your ears, and my love vanish in your memory, then I will come again. A little while, a moments rest upon the wind, and another woman shall bear me.”

Now, several generations later, Hajjar Gibran brings us the long-awaited answer to this promise.
